Job summary

Tieto Tech Consulting is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join the Telecom Team for our client BICS. The role involves configuring and troubleshooting network architectures, designing and implementing solutions, and maintaining network documentation, with optional guard duty for 24/7 support.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's in Telecom/IT/Electronics and 5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecom, IT and/or Electronics.
• 5 years of relevant work experience in Telecom/Internet service provider environment or vendor.
• Fluent English.
• Cisco/Alcatel SR Certified at Professional/Expert level or equal through experience.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco IOS family or Nokia SROS and routing protocols.

Responsibilities

• Configuring and troubleshooting different network architectures.
• Designing, testing, and implementing technical solutions based on business requirements.
• Designing, writing, and updating system documentation and network design guidelines.
• Managing network's software & hardware lifecycle.

When joining Tieto Tech Consulting as a Senior Network Engineer, you will:

• Configuring and troubleshooting different network architectures
• Designing, testing, and implementing technical solutions based on business and operational requirements, considering recent technology evolutions.
• Designing, writing, and updating both system documentation and network design guidelines
• Managing network's software & hardware lifecycle
• Take part in a guard duty service to support our 24/7 organization (Optional)

Who We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in the field of Telecom, IT and/or Electronics
• 5 years of relevant work experience in Telecom/Internet service provider environment or vendor
• Fluent English
• Cisco/Alcatel SR Certified at Professional/Expert level or equal through experience
• Strong knowledge and/or relevant hands-on experience in the below areas:
• Cisco IOS, IOS-XE & IOS-XR and/or Nokia SROS
• IPV4 & IPv6 Routing protocols (BGP/MP-BGP, ISIS, MPLS, Segment Routing)
• L2 & L3 VPN designs as per MEF service standards
• Traffic Engineering (RSVP, SR-TE)
• Quality of Service design & configuration
• IP Sec configuration
• Good scripting skill (preferably in Python) used in the context of network automation.

Will Be An Advantage

• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-a-code principle and experience implementing it,
• Knowledge of programmable interfaces on Network equipment e.g. RESTful APIs,netconf/yang,
• Knowledge of Public cloud solutions (preferably AWS)
• Experience with operation Tools like Nagios, Splunk, Netcool
