Job summary

Tieto is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and operate advanced network and security solutions across LAN, WLAN, WAN, and cloud integrations. You will troubleshoot complex environments, perform patch management, monitor performance, and ensure security standards while supporting customers and on-site engineers.

Candidates should have 5+ years in network administration and NGFW experience, with strong TCP/IP knowledge, VPN expertise, and Windows/Linux familiarity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in network administration.
• 5+ years maintaining Cisco, Fortinet, or Check Point NGFW environments.
• Strong knowledge of L2/L3 networking protocols and technologies including STP, LACP, L2 security, 802.1X, OSPF, and BGP.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP stack protocols (DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP, ICMP).
• Hands-on experience with wireless services deployment and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of VPN solutions and encryption services.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and general network protocols.
• Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex network problems.
• Basic understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Strong troubleshooting/analytical skills and customer-focused communication.
• English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level or higher.

In this role, you will design, configure, implement, and operate complex network and security solutions, troubleshoot network environments, and ensure their performance, reliability, and security. You will work with LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN, firewall, and NGFW technologies while supporting customers and on‑site engineers.

Who we are looking for

• You have 5+ years of experience in network administration
• 5+ years of professional experience maintaining Cisco, Fortinet, or Check Point Next‑Generation Firewall environments
• Strong knowledge of L2/L3 networking protocols and technologies, including STP, LACP, L2 security, 802.1X, OSPF, and BGP
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP stack protocols, including DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP, and ICMP
• Hands‑on experience with wireless services, including deployment and troubleshooting
• Good understanding of VPN solutions and encryption services
• Experience with network monitoring tools and a strong understanding of network protocols
• Ability to quickly investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex network problems
• Basic understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Customer‑focused mindset and strong communication skills
• English proficiency at Upper‑Intermediate level or higher

Will be an advantage

• Cisco CCNP Enterprise certification
• Fortinet NSE 4 certification
• Check Point CCSA certification
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP public cloud environments
• AZ‑700 certification or equivalent
• Experience with Meraki cloud deployments
• Automation skills with Python, Bash scripting, APIs, Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies
