Job summary

Sii Poland seeks a Senior Control Engineer to design and maintain MLSL applications for medium‑voltage drive control systems used in AC Electric Arc Furnaces. You’ll translate requirements into robust software, develop control algorithms in MATLAB/Simulink, and verify them on ABB platforms in a collaborative, multi‑disciplinary environment.

You'll work with Control Builder and CodeSys, perform simulations and testing, and contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or Control Engineering.
• Deep expertise in MATLAB and Simulink for control algorithm development.
• Strong knowledge of Medium Voltage Drives and their control systems.
• Experience with ABB control platforms and familiarity with Control Builder.
• Proven ability to develop and optimize drive control strategies for industrial applications.
• Advanced level of English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain MLSL applications for MV drive control systems.
• Analyze requirements and translate into software specifications.
• Develop and validate control algorithms using MATLAB and Simulink.
• Configure and test control logic on ABB platforms.
• Participate in software integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Support drive control strategy optimization for industrial power electronics.
• Work with Control Builder and CodeSys environments to implement controls.
• Collaborate with electrical, control, and power electronics specialists.
• Perform simulation, verification, and validation on Real-Time Simulation platforms.
• Provide technical support through the project lifecycle and contribute to documentation.
