EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead HPC Kubernetes Engineer to build and manage large HPC clusters across AWS, CoreWeave, GCP, and more, spanning thousands of GPUs now and scaling in 2026+. The role centers on Kubernetes-heavy multi-cloud platform infrastructure and reliable upgrades.

You will own cluster lifecycles, CI/CD provisioning, and GPU scheduling, while collaborating with networking, storage, security, and AI/ML teams. Hybrid work, with remote options within Poland.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud platforms, or HPC.
• Expertise in Kubernetes, with hands-on scale operations and upgrades.
• Proficiency in Terraform for IaC daily use.
• Working knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, EFS, FSx for Lustre).
• Python skills for tooling and automation.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Responsabilités

• Operate Kubernetes platforms (EKS, CKS, GKE) at scale across providers.
• Own cluster lifecycle, node pool management, networking policy, and stability.
• Provision HPC infrastructure via CI/CD across AWS, CoreWeave, GCP, OCI.
• Manage job scheduling to allocate GPU compute for training/inference.
• Define and maintain SLIs/SLOs and build monitoring/alerts.
• Participate in severity responses and post-incident reviews.
• Coordinate daily with Networking, Storage, Security, and AI/ML teams.
