Job summary

EPAM Systems in Poland seeks a Senior GCP Engineer with AI expertise to build and mature a centralized Cloud Product Engineering capability. The role focuses on standardizing GCP services (GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Cloud Functions) and developing reusable Terraform modules and patterns for internal teams.

You will collaborate with data engineers and architects to optimize the GCP platform, implement CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, and ensure security and reliability in a data mesh

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform including compute, storage, networking and security services.
• Proven experience designing and implementing cloud infrastructure using GCP, Terraform, and GKE.
• Proficiency in DevOps practices and tools, including GitHub Actions, CI/CD, and Shell scripting.
• Knowledge of Anthos Service Mesh / Istio, networking and firewall rules, and Helm charts.
• Familiarity with GCP Monitoring and Logging.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and timely troubleshooting.
• English level B2+ to communicate with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Request services or permissions from the Central Cloud Engineering team via established processes.
• Configure and maintain the GCP environment for the data mesh project.
• Collaborate with teams to define infrastructure requirements for scalability, security and reliability.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and automation with GitHub Actions.
• Create and maintain documentation related to GCP infrastructure and deployments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks on the GCP platform.
• Adhere to standards, best practices, and guides.
