Job summary

Altimi seeks a Senior Database Developer to modernize complex systems based on Microsoft SQL Server. You will design advanced DB structures, develop stored procedures, and lead building new database systems while optimizing performance and ensuring security.

The role requires leadership experience, strong T-SQL skills, and English proficiency; cloud and data integration tools are a plus. Flexible work arrangements include remote, office in Wroclaw, or hybrid options.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with MS SQL Server
• Led development/implementation projects for large database systems
• Strong knowledge of T-SQL and database architecture design
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, or similar) is a plus
• Familiar with modern data integration tools (SSIS, Power BI, or similar) is a plus
• Proven track record of at least 3 completed MS SQL Server projects in last 3 years
• Experience with 2+ projects maintaining MS SQL Server systems
• Experience with at least 1 large-scale MS SQL Server development project
• Advanced English proficiency

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Database Developer to work on the development and modernization of complex systems based on Microsoft SQL Server.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced database structures and architecture for MS SQL Server
• Develop and optimize complex stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views
• Lead development work on building new database systems from the ground up
• Analyze performance and tune queries at scale
• Provide technical guidance to junior/mid-level team members and conduct code reviews
• Collaborate with architects and business teams on solution design
• Ensure the quality, security, and compliance of implemented solutions with client standards

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server database development
• Documented experience independently leading development/implementation projects for large database systems
• Strong knowledge of T-SQL, performance optimization, and database architecture design
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, or similar) is a plus
• Familiarity with modern data integration tools (SSIS, Power BI, or similar) is a plus
• Proven track record of at least 3 completed projects within the last 3 years involving MS SQL Server database development
• Experience with at least 2 completed projects focused on the maintenance and upkeep of MS SQL Server database systems
• Experience with at least 1 completed larger-scale project involving the development and/or new build of an MS SQL Server database system
• Advanced English proficiency
