Job summary

Housecall Pro is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to design, develop, and deploy features across our core iOS and Android applications. You will collaborate with product management and engineering partners to deliver outstanding mobile experiences that scale and perform well.

You will lead code reviews, stay current with platform capabilities, and contribute to architectural decisions while writing high-quality tests and driving mobile engineering best practices across the team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience developing commercial mobile applications across iOS and/or Android
• Advanced experience with native mobile development technologies, including Swift and Kotlin
• Experience with Objective-C for iOS and/or Java for Android will be a plus
• Experience with RESTful APIs and back-end services
• Proficient understanding of Git and modern mobile software development workflows

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy features across core iOS and Android applications
• Lead code reviews and architectural reviews for mobile features
• Ensure the performance, quality, stability, and responsiveness of mobile applications
• Collaborate with product management to refine concepts and deliver mobile experiences
• Execute high-velocity, highly performant experiments and AB tests
• Strengthen mobile engineering practices by staying current with platform capabilities
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, defects, and issues across mobile platforms
• Write and maintain automated tests at the appropriate architectural level
• Introduce architectural improvements and refactor existing code to improve scalability
