Job summary

Sterling Outsourcing Sp. z o.o. Kraków is seeking a mid to senior Mechanical Design Specialist to create custom automation equipment and machine subsystems using SolidWorks.

You will translate customer requirements into safe, cost effective engineering solutions and maintain 3D models, drawings, and BOMs. In this role you will select components, collaborate with controls, electrical, manufacturing, and project teams to ensure timely delivery while prioritizing safety.

Qualifications

• English communication at level C1 (written and spoken).
• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Systems Design, Engineering Physics, Engineering Science or related discipline.
• 6–8 years of mechanical design experience in automation, machine design or related environment.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, PDM, AutoCAD and related engineering tools.
• Solid understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, tolerances, machine components, pneumatics and sensing.
• Prioritize safety in design, documentation and communication.
• Ability to travel to customers, other sites or business units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design custom automation equipment, machine stations, and mechanical subsystems using SolidWorks.
• Translate customer requirements into practical, safe, and cost-effective engineering solutions.
• Create and maintain 3D models, engineering drawings, and BOMs.
• Select and specify mechanical, pneumatic, and sensing components for new projects.
• Collaborate with Controls, Electrical, Manufacturing, Assembly, and Project Management teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Identify technical risks and proactively communicate design challenges and proposed solutions.
