Job summary

Corning Incorporated in Poland seeks an experienced designer to work in international design groups, collaborating with development engineers to introduce new products into the production process. The role includes machinery design, AR-enabled processes, and prototype development.

Required: higher education in Mechanics/Mechatronics, CAD proficiency (Creo, SolidWorks, Inventor), and solid knowledge of mechanics, materials, FEM. Strong communication in English is essential.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in a position with a similar scope of responsibilities.
• Knowledge of mechanics, strength of materials and FEM analysis.
• Knowledge of machine design.
• Knowledge of GD&T methodology is a plus.
• Knowledge of sheet metal forming and plastic injection processes.
• Knowledge of 3D printing processes.
• Proficiency in English for fluent communication both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Participation in the design of new products and adaptation of existing products in international design groups.
• Close collaboration with development engineers and product engineers to implement new products into the production process.
• Participation in the design of machinery and equipment supporting the production process.
• Implementation of modern solutions (Capabilities - e.g.: Augmented Reality) supporting design processes and communication with external and internal clients.
• Realization and presentation of your own ideas.
• Development of prototypes.
• Supporting other departments in project collaboration.
