Job summary

SoftServe is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to shape enterprise-level digital solutions for a life-sciences R&D organization undergoing transformation. You will lead discovery, define requirements, and collaborate with stakeholders across IT and business teams.

You will travel to the UK for onsite discovery and future short trips, bringing strong BA practices and experience in agile environments to drive value and ensure high-quality deliveries.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT environments.
• Life sciences R&D domain knowledge from degree or work.
• Understanding of scientific R&D workflows; exposure to assays, screening, biology, or computational pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of business analysis practices, artifacts, and lifecycle.
• Experience with Agile and Kanban methodologies.
• Understanding of business architecture frameworks and operating models.
• Experience in discovery, pre-sales, and business development.
• Excellent English communication for cross-functional teams.
• Certifications such as CBAP, PMI PBA, OCUP 2, TOGAF are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Capture and articulate the client’s business vision, aligning objectives with solution outcomes
• Lead discovery and analysis to define as-is and to-be states, identifying gaps and improvements
• Own end-to-end requirements process: elicitation, documentation, validation, lifecycle management
• Document and visualize processes using BPMN, swimlanes, and other modelling techniques
• Translate business needs into clear requirements for development teams, reducing risks
• Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, architects, and delivery teams
• Develop business cases to assess feasibility, value, and impact of proposed solutions
• Conduct stakeholder analysis and establish effective communication and change management strategies
• Manage solution scope and prioritization to support timely, high-quality delivery
• Prepare and facilitate formal solution handoffs and define the next-phase roadmap
• Travel to the UK for initial onsite discovery phase and subsequent shorter trips
