Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in Warsaw is seeking a Senior Licensing Engineer to lead complex engineering and licensing activities for AP1000 PWR projects in Poland. You will serve as a technical expert and discipline lead, guiding licensing, safety analysis, and regulatory documentation while mentoring engineers and coordinating cross-disciplinary teams.

You will report to the Senior Manager and work in a hybrid model with two days in the Warsaw office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, Energy)
• 12+ years of applicable experience
• Fluent knowledge of Polish and English
• Subject matter expert in nuclear safety analysis, licensing or reactor systems
• Experience with nuclear licensing activities and regulatory submissions
• Knowledge of IAEA guidance and European regulatory practices
• Willingness to travel 10–20%
• Strong technical writing and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead licensing, safety analysis, and technical documentation for AP1000 projects
• Be technical discipline lead for complex engineering programs
• Develop and integrate licensing basis documents and safety analyses
• Support Construction and Operating License applications and regulatory submittals
• Provide guidance for reactor safety, thermal-hydraulics, and risk assessments
• Coordinate interfaces across engineering disciplines for integrated deliverables
• Manage priorities, policies, quality requirements and engineering standards
• Engage with customers, regulators, and project leadership
• Support resource planning and staffing for engineering programs
• Prepare technical recommendations and cost-impact evaluations
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies; support project schedules
• Oversee hiring, training and performance reviews
• Handle budget responsibilities for the function
