Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Java Spring Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable applications while supporting cloud-native solutions and distributed systems. The role requires 3 days per week on-site at the client's office in Poland.

Responsibilities include building microservices with Spring Boot, managing Kubernetes deployments with AKS and Terraform, and implementing Kafka/RabbitMQ messaging.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Understanding of Spring Security and secure application design.
• Expertise in Azure, AKS, Terraform, and Helm.
• Expertise in containerization and Kubernetes-based deployments.
• Strong experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Proficiency in SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with distributed caching/data grid technologies such as Apache Ignite or Hazelcast.
• Experience building and supporting high-performance messaging applications.
• Strong performance tuning and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in English at a B2+ level.
• Nice to have Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, ownership-driven approach.
• Experience in event-driven architecture and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and DevOps automation.
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable Java-based applications.
• Build and support cloud-native solutions on Azure and AKS.
• Develop and enhance microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Security.
• Manage containerized deployments and infrastructure using Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform.
• Implement and optimize messaging solutions leveraging Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and resilient systems.
• Perform performance analysis, troubleshooting, and tuning of applications and messaging platforms.
• Support knowledge transfer and handover activities as part of project onboarding.
