Job summary

Zoolatech in Wroclaw is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to help build and maintain enterprise transportation services for a leading North American retailer.

As part of the Supply Chain Transportation Team, you will lead design and architecture across projects, write high-quality code, and mentor juniors in an agile environment. You’ll tackle performance and security issues and drive best-practice adoption.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Java programming language.
• Strong knowledge of data structures and distributed systems.
• Good written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Create frameworks to solve multiple business problems.
• Lead design and architecture on projects, write great code.
• Take ownership of solutions spanning multiple teams’ work, break work into smaller tasks for more junior engineers to support.
• Influence design within and across teams for projects by providing guidance on software design, development & industry best practices.
• Diagnose and remedy performance or security issues.
• Facilitates cross functional troubleshooting, root cause analysis.
• Surfaces potential design or delivery conflicts in the current product cycle and makes recommendations on the best options.
• Demonstrates expertise in industry standards for secure development practices.
• Expertise with telemetry solutions and products available in the industry.
• Contributes to community projects and engineering standards.
