Job summary

IG Group, a FTSE100 fintech, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Java) for its Client Platform in Krakow. Hybrid role requiring 3 days on-site in Krakow. You will drive AI-assisted coding, testing, and deployment, and own features end-to-end from design to production.

We value test-driven development, pair programming, and strong ownership. You’ll collaborate across Jira/Confluence, GitLab, and CI/CD, while advancing responsible AI practices and security standards.

Qualifications

• Strong background in software engineering and Java backend systems.
• Experience with test-driven development and collaborative coding practices.
• Familiarity with AI tooling and responsible AI in SDLC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain internal tooling that embeds AI into daily engineering work.
• Improve observability and automation in the AI-assisted pipeline.
• Collaborate with product, testing, and PM functions to deliver value.
• Evaluate and roll out LLM-based developer tools safely with Jira/Confluence/GitLab.
• Mentor engineers and ensure compliance with security guidelines.
