Job summary

Miratech is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join a European tax administration project. You will develop and maintain customized software solutions for a large public-sector client, building secure, scalable services and integrating with external systems.

The team comprises 20+ engineers focused on end-to-end development, testing, deployment, and collaboration with distributed stakeholders. A remote-friendly culture supports ongoing professional growth and global collaboration.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Java development.
• Strong experience with Spring Framework and Quarkus.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and containers (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL).
• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and messaging (Kafka, ActiveMQ).
• Good understanding of testing principles.
• Ability to communicate confidently in English.
• Strong communication and collaboration with stakeholders and distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Implement software components according to the design specifications.
• Perform system integration and testing, problem troubleshooting, and resolution.
• Perform unit testing of software components.
• Participate in estimating project efforts and delivery timelines.
• Proactively collaborate with teammates and communicate with the Project Stakeholders to ensure that the Project efforts proceed efficiently and with predictability.
• Provide technical input into product roadmaps.
• Participate in triage activities (incident analysis and prioritization).
• Support and optimize CI/CD processes.
