Job summary

Jit Team in Poznań is seeking an experienced Senior Java Backend Engineer to design and maintain modern backend applications built on Java and microservices, with REST APIs, relational databases, and automated deployment.

You will work in a hybrid setup from Poznań, engage in AI-assisted development tools, and collaborate with an international team, ensuring high-quality software delivery and scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on Java and Spring Boot experience.
• Strong REST API design and microservices knowledge.
• Relational database expertise and SQL proficiency.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated delivery.
• Docker-based packaging and deployment experience.
• Interest in adopting AI-assisted development tools to improve workflows.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Project

The project focuses on the development and maintenance of modern backend applications based on Java and microservices architecture. The role involves designing and implementing scalable solutions, developing REST APIs, working with relational databases, and supporting automated deployment processes. The team works with modern engineering practices and explores AI-assisted development tools to improve software delivery and development workflows.

Expected competencies and knowledge

• At least 8 yearsof hands-on experienceinJava, and Spring Boot
• Good knowledge ofREST API design and microservices architecture
• Solid understanding of relational databases and proficiency inSQL
• Experience inCI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and automated delivery
• Experience in package and deploy applications using Docker
• Eagerness to explore and implement Agentic AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) to accelerate engineering workflows
• Excellent verbal and written English skills, along with strong communication abilities

Nice to have

• Experience in cloud solutions

Experience with event-driven architectures, including Kafka and messaging solutions such as RabbitMQ
