Job summary

DCG Poland seeks a seasoned Java developer to design, develop and maintain Java applications and services. You will build microservices-based solutions and collaborate with Agile Release Train teams to translate requirements into robust software.

You will optimize performance, implement CI/CD practices and produce technical documentation while working with English- fluent stakeholders. Familiarity with Kafka, Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Java software development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8+, Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Good practical knowledge of microservices architecture and clean code principles.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain Java-based applications and services
• Build and enhance solutions based on microservices architecture
• Collaborate with team members within an Agile Release Train (ART) and cross-functional agile teams
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver appropriate technical solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing applications
• Optimize application performance, maintainability and code quality
• Participate in continuous integration and delivery processes
• Create and maintain technical documentation for implemented solutions

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Java software development
• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8+, Spring Framework and Spring Boot
• Good practical knowledge of microservices architecture and clean code principles
• Experience with SQL and relational databases
• Good understanding of REST API design and development
• Practical experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Bitbucket
• Understanding of continuous integration and modern software development practices
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum/SAFe environments
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken)

Nice to have:

• Experience with Kafka
• Knowledge of Spring WebFlux
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with C++ development
• Knowledge of test automation concepts, tools and best practices
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot
• Previous experience in the financial or banking industry
