Job summary

DCG Poland is seeking an experienced Java developer to design, build, and maintain Java applications supporting financial products in a dynamic environment.

The role requires hands-on Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, OpenAPI/AsyncAPI expertise and collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will mentor peers and promote solid engineering practices in a Warsaw-based team.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Java-based application development.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and related Java frameworks.
• Proven experience with relational databases and PostgreSQL SQL.
• Practical experience with messaging technologies such as JMS, MQ, or similar protocols.
• Strong proficiency in Java frameworks including Spring and Hibernate.
• Knowledge of OpenAPI and AsyncAPI for producing and consuming data.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of software design patterns and object-oriented programming principles.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Very good command of English, both spoken and written.

• Develop solutions supporting complex business processes, tax authority integrations, and customer-facing reporting
• Participate in requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, and deployment
• Collaborate with financial analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Mentor developers and act as a code reviewer and design sparring partner
• Promote practical engineering practices across the development team
• Use AI-assisted development and automation responsibly to improve productivity, quality, and learning
• Contribute strong collaboration and analytical skills to solve complex technical challenges
