Job summary

Luxoft is seeking a Senior Java Backend Engineer to join a Regulatory Reporting Platform for a US investment bank. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and back-end services handling large volumes of data.

The role requires 6+ years of Java experience, strong SQL skills, and the ability to work with a distributed international team across Ukraine, Poland, and the US in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of commercial Java experience.
• Experience designing and developing scalable, high-performance backend applications.
• Strong SQL skills and ability to work with large datasets from multiple sources.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a global distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain solutions for a large-scale Regulatory Reporting Platform.
• Build and enhance data processing pipelines using Java and Apache Spark.
• Implement scalable data ingestion, transformation, aggregation, and enrichment from multiple sources.
• Develop and optimize batch processing to support regulatory reports across jurisdictions.
• Ensure high standards of data quality, validation, reconciliation, and consistency.
• Translate regulatory requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA, and cross-functional teams to deliver reporting functionality.
• Investigate and resolve data and application issues in development, test, and production environments.
• Improve application performance, scalability, and reliability for high-volume processing.
• Contribute to reusable components and engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and release activities.
• Work with distributed teams in Ukraine, Poland, and the US in an agile model.
• Support operational stability and monitoring of the platform.
