Job summary

Luxoft in Kraków is seeking a senior Java backend engineer to join a Regulatory Reporting Platform for a large US investment bank. You will design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and high-performance services handling large volumes of data for regulatory reports across jurisdictions.

You will work with a distributed team across Ukraine, Poland, and the US, implementing scalable batch processing, ensuring data quality, and participating in code reviews and CI/CD within an Agile delivery

Qualifications

• 6+ years of commercial Java experience.
• Experience designing scalable, high-performance backend applications.
• Good SQL skills and ability to work with large, multi-source datasets.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to work in a global distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain solutions for a large-scale Regulatory Reporting Platform.
• Build and optimize data processing pipelines using Java and Spark.
• Implement scalable ingestion, transformation, and enrichment from multiple sources.
• Develop batch processing jobs to generate regulatory reports across jurisdictions.
• Ensure data quality, validation, reconciliation, and consistency across the reporting lifecycle.
• Collaborate with analysts, QA, and cross-functional teams to deliver reporting features.
• Resolve data and application issues in dev/test/production environments.
• Improve performance, scalability, and reliability for high-volume workloads.
• Contribute to reusable components and best practices in engineering.
