Job summary

Luxoft Poland seeks a senior Java backend engineer to join a Regulatory Reporting Platform for a large US investment bank. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable data processing pipelines using Java and Apache Spark, enabling regulatory reports across hundreds of jurisdictions and high-volume workloads.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of commercial Java experience.
• Experience designing scalable, high-performance backend apps.
• Strong SQL skills with large datasets from multiple sources.
• Ability to work effectively in a global distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain solutions for a large-scale Regulatory Reporting Platform.
• Build and optimize data processing pipelines using Java and Apache Spark.
• Implement scalable ingestion, transformation, aggregation, and enrichment logic across sources.
• Develop and optimize batch jobs for regulatory reports across jurisdictions.
• Ensure data quality, validation, reconciliation, and consistency throughout the reporting lifecycle.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA, and cross-functional teams in an agile setup.
• Investigate and resolve data/app issues in development, test, and production environments.
• Improve performance, scalability, and reliability for high-volume processing.
