Job summary

Luxoft Poland is seeking a Senior Java Developer to build and own strategic reference data platforms for a global banking client. You will join a diverse, global team and drive all phases of the SDLC from analysis to deployment, ensuring adherence to engineering standards.

The role requires 7+ years of Java experience and hands-on work with Spring Boot, Oracle SQL, REST, Kafka, Redis, and modern CI/CD tools. Hybrid work across multiple Polish locations is offered.

Qualifications

• At least 7+ years of experience with Java and related tech.
• Experience with Java Core, JDBC, MT, Collections, I/O and Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in SQL/PL-SQL on Oracle DB and REST services.
• Familiarity with Kafka, Redis and Unix shell scripting.
• Experience with standard data structures and algorithms and CI/CD tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned development projects within schedule, quality and scope.
• Participate in all SDLC stages in an agile Scrum environment.
• Collaborate with tech vendors and understand product offerings.
• Enhance or re-architect components for performance and scalability.
• Provide level 3 support for the application.

For the world most global bank we are building the platform, which supports various information gathering and processing across the organization and providing access to this data

Candidate will be responsible for building out the firm's strategic reference data platforms to serve businesses within client company. The successful applicant will take ownership of key projects and components and will be responsible for all phases of SDLC including analysis and design, development, testing and deployment. As a developer, the candidate will be responsible for developing & deploying technical solution following engineering excellence standards. A potential candidate will need to understand system and enterprise architecture concepts and will be expected to understand how all components fir together and impact one another. They will work with a global and diverse team of peers as well as liaise closely with Business Analyst, Production Support, and infrastructure teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned development projects withing agreed schedule, quality and scope expectations
• Participate in all stages of SDLC within an agile Scrum environment
• Form partnership with technology vendors and gain deep understanding of products
• Enhance/Re-architect existing components to satisfy new requirements in terms of performance and scalability
• Provide level 3 (escalation) support for the application

What is relevant to have

• At least 7+ years of experience with Java
• Experience/understanding with the following technologies:
• Java (Core, JDBC, MT, Collections, I/O), Spring Boot
• SQL.PL-SQL on Oracle DB
• REST web services, Kafka, Redis
• Unix Commands and shell scripting.
• Familiarity with standard data structures and algorithms.
• Experience using the following tools - JIRA, Harness/uDeploy, SonarQube, TeamCity, Artifactory, Git (GHE & Bitbucket)
• Logical thinking, strong analytical and problem-solving skills; innovate and solutions oriented
• Effective time management skills to manage multiple priorities with flexibility on time zones and timelines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
