Transition Technologies PSC is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join a large-scale transformation for an insurance client. You will build backend services in Java, craft REST APIs, and contribute to microservices and event-driven architectures in a Scrum environment.

Formación

• At least 7 years of commercial Java experience.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Hibernate/JPA.
• Proficient with Apache Kafka and SQL.
• Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and microservices.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join a team working on a large-scale transformation program for a company in the insurance industry.

Your responsibilities

• developing backend applications and services in Java,
• building and developing systems based on microservice architecture,
• designing and implementing REST APIs and integrations,
• participating in solution architecture design,
• developing automated tests and ensuring code quality,
• conducting code reviews,
• working with event-driven systems and Apache Kafka,
• applying DDD (Domain-Driven Design) when designing solutions,
• analyzing and resolving technical and performance issues,
• using AI tools to support the development process,
• collaborating within a Scrum team.

• Own and manage the product backlog (epics, user stories, acceptance criteria)
• Translate cybersecurity requirements into actionable development tasks
• Prioritize backlog based on business value, risk and security impact
• Work closely with:
  • Engineering teams (backend, cloud, security)
  • Product Management (client side)
  • Security experts / architects
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (refinement, planning, demo)
• Ensure alignment with product roadmap and security strategy
• Define and track product KPIs (e.g. detection efficiency, automation rate)
• Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies
• Collaborate with stakeholders in an international environment
• Meeting with customers to present new functionalities, get feedback and understand customer's needs
• Own and coordinate product release and patching process

• at least 7 years of commercial experience in Java,
• very good knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Hibernate/JPA,
• very good knowledge of Apache Kafka,
• very good knowledge of SQL,
• experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD),
• experience in designing and developing microservices,
• experience in designing and implementing REST APIs,
• knowledge of Angular and experience working with frontend applications,
• ability to use AI tools supporting software development,
• willingness to work in a hybrid model – at least 1 day per week from the office in Warsaw.
