Job summary

Luxoft Poland seeks an experienced Java developer to join a global bank's platform team. You will own critical components across the SDLC, from analysis and design to development, testing, and deployment, collaborating with analysts, production support, and infrastructure teams.

Responsibilities include delivering projects on time, participating in Scrum, partnering with vendors, and evolving components for performance and scalability.

Qualifications

• At least 7+ years of experience with Java.
• Experience with Java Core, Spring Boot, REST services, and SQL on Oracle DB.
• Proficiency in Kafka, Redis, Unix commands and shell scripting.
• Familiarity with data structures and algorithms; strong analytical skills.
• Experience with version control and CI/CD tools (JIRA, uDeploy, SonarQube, TeamCity).
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

For the world most global bank we are building the platform, which supports various information gathering and processing across the organization and providing access to this data

Candidate will be responsible for building out the firm's strategic reference data platforms to serve businesses within client company. The successful applicant will take ownership of key projects and components and will be responsible for all phases of SDLC including analysis and design, development, testing and deployment. As a developer, the candidate will be responsible for developing & deploying technical solution following engineering excellence standards. A potential candidate will need to understand system and enterprise architecture concepts and will be expected to understand how all components fir together and impact one another. They will work with a global and diverse team of peers as well as liaise closely with Business Analyst, Production Support, and infrastructure teams.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver assigned development projects withing agreed schedule, quality and scope expectations
• Participate in all stages of SDLC within an agile Scrum environment
• Form partnership with technology vendors and gain deep understanding of products
• Enhance/Re-architect existing components to satisfy new requirements in terms of performance and scalability
• Provide level 3 (escalation) support for the application

Mandatory Skills Description:

• At least 7+ years of experience with Java
• Experience/understanding with the following technologies:
• Java (Core, JDBC, MT, Collections, I/O), Spring Boot
• SQL.PL-SQL on Oracle DB
• REST web services, Kafka, Redis
• Unix Commands and shell scripting.
• Familiarity with standard data structures and algorithms.
• Experience using the following tools - JIRA, Harness/uDeploy, SonarQube, TeamCity, Artifactory, Git (GHE & Bitbucket)
• Logical thinking, strong analytical and problem-solving skills; innovate and solutions oriented
• Effective time management skills to manage multiple priorities with flexibility on time zones and timelines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

• Master's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
• Experience working with the Scrum methodology
