Job summary

DCG in Warszawa is seeking a senior Java developer to upgrade and maintain complex banking applications. You will design, develop and optimize Java applications supporting savings and investments products, with a focus on Java 21 and Spring Boot 3.3.x.

You will collaborate with financial analysts, ensure tax compliance across countries, and participate in requirements analysis, solution design, testing and deployment. Strong English communication is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Java and Spring Boot upgrade projects.
• Strong proficiency in Java 21 and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and SQL.
• Practical knowledge of messaging technologies such as JMS, MQ or similar.
• Strong understanding of Java frameworks including Spring and Hibernate.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL-based development.
• Knowledge of OpenAPI and AsyncAPI for producing and consuming data.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of software design patterns and object-oriented programming principles.
• Very good command of English, both spoken and written.
• Upgrade applications to Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.3.x baseline.
• Design, develop and maintain Java applications supporting savings and investments products.

Responsibilities

• Participate in requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing and deployment activities.
• Collaborate with financial analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Build calculation engines ensuring compliance with tax regulations across multiple countries.
• Develop solutions supporting complex business processes, tax authority integrations and customer-facing reporting.
