Job summary

DCG Poland is seeking a skilled Java engineer to upgrade and evolve our financial applications, focusing on Java 21 and Spring Boot. You will design, develop and maintain systems supporting savings and investments products.

You will work on tax-compliance calculation engines across multiple countries, implement open APIs, and collaborate with analysts to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Java and Spring Boot upgrade projects.
• Strong proficiency in Java 21 and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on PostgreSQL and SQL development experience.
• Knowledge of messaging (JMS/MQ) and Java frameworks (Spring, Hibernate).
• Experience with OpenAPI/AsyncAPI for data exchange.
• Familiar with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of design patterns and OOP principles.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

• Design, develop and maintain Java applications supporting savings and investments products
• Build calculation engines ensuring compliance with tax regulations across multiple countries
• Develop solutions supporting complex business processes, tax authority integrations and customer-facing reporting
• Participate in requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing and deployment activities
• Collaborate with financial analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Requirements:

• Proven experience in Java and Spring Boot upgrade projects
• Strong proficiency in Java 21 and Spring Boot
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and SQL
• Practical knowledge of messaging technologies such as JMS, MQ or similar
• Strong understanding of Java frameworks including Spring and Hibernate
• Experience with relational databases and SQL-based development
• Knowledge of OpenAPI and AsyncAPI for producing and consuming data
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of software design patterns and object-oriented programming principles
• Very good command of English, both spoken and written
