Luxoft is seeking a senior Java developer to join a banking-industry client team in a back-end role focused on scalable microservices and robust data access layers. You will work on RESTful services using Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate, with Oracle or PostgreSQL databases, and deploy with Docker and Kubernetes in Azure.

The role emphasizes clean code, agile practices, and writing automated tests in a fast-paced enterprise environment. Collaboration with QA and product teams is essential.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of professional experience as a Java developer.
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and building microservices.
• Experience in RESTful API design.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or Oracle, including strong SQL skills and query and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Good working knowledge of Unix/Linux, including shell and command-line tools.
• Experience in automated testing of Java applications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with agile practices (Scrum, Kanban).
• Good communication skills and the ability to state requirements clearly to other teams.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end services and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring.
• Implement data access using Hibernate and SQL, with attention to performance and maintainability.
• Analyze and tune SQL queries and database performance on Oracle (preferred) or PostgreSQL.
• Define and consume RESTful APIs, clearly communicating requirements and constraints across teams.
• Translate business and product requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Apply clean code principles and back-end best practices across the codebase.
• Write and maintain automated tests (unit, integration).
• Participate actively in agile ceremonies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Perform code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and tooling.
• Work closely with QA, product managers, and architects to ensure high-quality deliveries.
• Support and improve existing applications in a fast-paced environment.
