Job summary

Luxoft seeks a Senior Java Developer to join a client team in Kraków to build scalable back-end services. You will design, develop, and maintain APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate, with a focus on clean code and quality.

Responsibilities include containerizing with Kubernetes, infrastructure as code with Terraform, RESTful API design, and agile collaboration with QA and product teams. 8+ years' experience and strong problem solving are expected.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong hands-on with Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate.
• Working knowledge of SQL.
• Kubernetes and Terraform experience.
• Automation testing of Java applications.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with RESTful API design and agile practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end services and APIs with Java/Spring.
• Implement data access using Hibernate and SQL for performance/mantainability.
• Containerize and deploy applications on Kubernetes.
• Manage infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Define and consume RESTful APIs and clarify requirements across teams.
• Translate business needs into robust technical solutions and clean code.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests.
• Participate in Scrum/Kanban ceremonies and support engineering standards.
• Collaborate with QA, product managers, and architects for quality deliveries.
• Support and improve existing enterprise applications in a fast-paced environment.
