Job summary

Luxoft in Warsaw is seeking a Senior Java backend developer to join a Regulatory Reporting Platform for a leading US investment bank. You will design and optimize scalable data processing pipelines using Java and Spark, handling large datasets from multiple sources to produce regulatory outputs for numerous jurisdictions.

You will work with global teams across Ukraine, Poland, and the US in an Agile environment, translating regulatory requirements into robust technical solutions and ensuring

Qualifications

• 6+ years commercial experience with Java.
• Experience designing scalable, high-performance backend apps.
• Good SQL knowledge and handling large datasets.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to work in a global distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend solutions for a large Regulatory Reporting Platform.
• Build and optimize data processing pipelines with Java and Spark.
• Implement data ingestion, transformation, and enrichment from multiple sources.
• Develop batch processing to support regulatory reports across jurisdictions.
• Ensure data quality, validation, and reconciliation throughout the lifecycle.
• Translate regulatory requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Collaborate with analysts, QA, and cross-functional teams to deliver reporting functionality.
• Investigate and resolve data and application issues in dev/test/production.
• Improve performance, scalability, and reliability for high-volume workloads.
• Contribute to reusable components and engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and release activities.
• Work with distributed teams in an agile delivery model.
