Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager / PMO to lead strategic HR IT initiatives across a global portfolio. You will drive delivery from initiation to value realization, align priorities, resources, risks, and dependencies in a complex environment.

You will collaborate with HR and IT leaders, project managers, and external vendors, shaping decision materials, improving transparency, and elevating project delivery standards across the organization.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing large IT projects in a global environment.
• Proven experience in Project Portfolio Management and portfolio governance.
• Strong understanding of HR applications or HR technology landscapes.
• Experience working with ServiceNow SPM or similar portfolio management tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic HR IT projects from initiation to successful delivery.
• Manage the HCM project portfolio, balancing priorities, risks, resources, and business value.
• Drive portfolio planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and dependency management.
• Prepare decision materials and provide portfolio transparency for senior leadership.
• Act as a governance liaison for portfolio reviews, approvals, and steering discussions.
• Partner with HR, IT, and global business stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
• Oversee vendor collaboration and support negotiations to maximize value and performance.
• Champion continuous improvement of project portfolio management practices and standards.

As a Senior IT Project Manager / PMO, you will lead strategic HR technology initiatives and oversee the HCM project portfolio. The role combines hands‑on project leadership with portfolio governance, ensuring that priorities, resources, risks, and dependencies are aligned across a complex global environment.

You will work closely with HR, IT leaders, project managers, and external vendors to deliver business value and support high‑impact transformation programs. Acting as a trusted advisor and operational portfolio owner, you will help shape decision‑making, improve portfolio transparency, and strengthen project delivery standards across the organization.
