Job summary

smartpatient GmbH seeks a Senior iOS Engineer to shape the architectural foundation of Redcare Pharmacy’s mobile platform. You will drive modular iOS architecture for six cross-functional teams, with high visibility and impactful contributions to iOS ecosystem evolution as scale accelerates.

You bring strong Swift expertise, experience with modular architecture, and proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, testing strategy and performance optimization.

Qualifications

• Strong Swift and production app experience.
• Deep understanding of modular architecture and scalable app structures.
• Hands-on with Clean Architecture, MVVM or similar patterns.
• Knowledge of concurrency concepts and memory management on iOS.
• Experience with unit testing and improving test coverage.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
• Collaborates across teams and demonstrates strong debugging and performance skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive modularization and evolve a scalable iOS architecture.
• Define, implement, and refine technical standards and architectural guidelines.
• Improve CI/CD reliability, build performance and release processes.
• Strengthen testing strategy and quality foundations across teams.
• Improve app stability, performance and overall technical health.
• Review and guide critical architectural decisions across teams.
• Reduce technical debt strategically while enabling product teams.
