Job summary

Elastic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Integrations Team. You will build and maintain the MCP server, the platform for universal agent skills, and tooling that enables Elastic to be accessible within various developer ecosystems. You will work with Go and Rust, collaborating with product teams and external partners.

This role supports a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and remote, globally distributed collaboration. Prior Elastic experience is beneficial but not required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience on backend systems, services or libraries.
• Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks and understanding of LLMs, agents and MCP.
• Experience with Go and other languages is preferred.
• Knowledge of client-server networking, HTTP and RESTful APIs.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the Elastic MCP server and infrastructure in Go.
• Develop platform for universal agent skills, tooling, and linting for cross-agent deployment.
• Ensure correctness through evals and testing, not assumptions.
