Job summary

Sezzle is seeking a Principal Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, operate, and scale the platform powering Sezzle. You will tackle hard infra problems: throughput, latency, capacity bottlenecks, resilience, and automation as the business grows.

Stack runs on AWS, Kubernetes, Aurora RDS, with focus on architecture, on-call, AI-assisted tooling, and cost efficiency. You will own initiatives from architecture to production, and collaborate acrossSecurity/Compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field.
• 12+ years of experience building and operating production infrastructure at scale.
• Deep expertise with AWS and Kubernetes in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and evolution of core infrastructure.
• Design and run scale tests, diagnose bottlenecks, and optimize cost.
• Build AWS infrastructure and manage multi-AZ/high-availability deployments.
• Operate the Kubernetes platform with automation and safe upgrades.
• Lead on-call responses and document postmortems for continuous improvement.
