Job summary

Grand Parade is hiring a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, build and operate cloud infrastructure powering a modern data platform. You’ll work with AWS, Kubernetes, and streaming technologies to ensure reliability, scalability and cost efficiency in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

You’ll contribute to automation, observability and deployment improvements, partnering with Data Engineering and Platform teams to deliver reusable infrastructure patterns and AI-powered tooling.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience with AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, Terraform and cloud infrastructure in production.
• Expertise in CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, automation and scripting, ideally using Python and GitLab.
• Experience supporting large-scale data, streaming or event-driven platforms, with a focus on reliability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain cloud infrastructure that supports large-scale data platforms and real-time processing workloads.
• Develop and improve Kubernetes, AWS and infrastructure-as-code capabilities to ensure scalable and reliable services.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes, enabling engineering teams to deliver efficiently and safely.
• Support observability, monitoring, alerting and incident resolution across production environments.
• Drive platform reliability, performance optimisation and cloud cost efficiency initiatives.
• Contribute to the evolution of streaming and event-driven technologies across the data platform.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop reusable infrastructure patterns and operational best practices.
• Champion automation, knowledge sharing and modern engineering approaches, including AI-powered development tools.
