Job summary

AECOM in Krakow is seeking a Principal Engineer - Hydraulics and Drainage with experience in hydrological assessments informing flood risk management, infrastructure planning, water resources strategy, and environmental permitting, to join our busy team. The team delivers assessment, concept, feasibility, preliminary and detailed designs across transport, water and development sectors.

You will lead hydrological modelling, provide technical direction, review outputs for quality and regulatory

Qualifications

Over 10 years of hydrological assessment experience.
Strong knowledge of UK hydrological guidance.
Experience on UK&I projects.
Experience with hydrological modelling tools and data analysis software.
Proven ability to lead projects and provide technical oversight.
Fluent in English, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

Lead hydrological assessments to support flood risk appraisals and environmental permitting.
Provide technical direction on rainfall-runoff modelling and catchment analysis.
Oversee hydrological modelling outputs for quality and regulatory compliance.
Act as technical lead on major frameworks and multidisciplinary projects.
Advise clients on flood risk policy and drainage strategy requirements.
Mentor and develop junior hydrologists.
