Job summary

AFRY is seeking a Hydrotechnical Designer to join our water infrastructure team in Kraków. You will contribute to planning and design of hydraulic and civil projects, collaborating with a multidisciplinary international team across Germany and Poland.

The role involves full project life-cycle from feasibility to implementation, with a hybrid work arrangement. Qualified candidates have a Master in Civil Engineering, 5+ years in infrastructure design, strong English skills, and experience with

Qualifications

Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
At least 5 years' experience in planning and design of infrastructure.
Proficient English (CEFR B2) for technical communication.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver hydraulic and civil engineering projects through all design phases.
Coordinate surveying, geotechnical investigations and hydraulic analyses.
Prepare feasibility studies, option assessments and technical concepts.
Develop concepts for waterfront, pumping stations and related infrastructure.
Collaborate with CAD designers and other engineers.
Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
Develop construction concepts and implementation strategies, including phasing.
Contribute to technical decision-making and reporting.
Prepare tender documents, specifications and BOQ.
Evaluate contractor bids and provide award recommendations.
