Job summary

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in highways engineering and design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.
• Strong understanding of highway design principles and standards.
• Experience with junctions, roundabouts, bus lanes and cycle paths.
• Understanding of IR35 regulations and ability to meet deadlines.
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Developing detailed highway designs including junctions, roundabouts, bus lanes and cycle paths.
• Utilising AutoCAD 2D for design and drafting tasks.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Conducting site visits and assessments to inform design decisions.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Preparing technical reports and documentation.
• Supervising and mentoring junior engineers.
• Working three days a week in the office as part of a hybrid arrangement.
