Job summary

AECOM in Kraków, Poland, is seeking an Associate Director - Highways Technical Specialist to lead complex highway and linear infrastructure design efforts. You will work on projects from feasibility through detailed designs within a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with clients from public and private sectors.

You bring 10+ years of highway design experience, proficiency in international standards, and strong CAD skills (MicroStation/AutoCAD).

Qualifications

• 10+ years of highway design experience.
• Familiar with international standards (AASTHO, UK, Australia, etc.).
• Experience with geometrical design packages listed above.
• Advanced CAD skills with MicroStation or AutoCAD.
• Experience in North America or Australia beneficial.
• English language CV required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and work on highway and linear infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and review design calculations, reports, drawings, specs.
• Apply design standards and best practices for highways.
• Deliver work within scope, budget, and schedule.
• Lead tasks, coordinate design with other disciplines.
• Perform self-checks and support QA/QC reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide design guidance.
• Assist Project Manager with technical decisions and progress.
• Ensure compliance with codes and client requirements.
