Job summary

Versified in Poland seeks a Senior Guidewire Developer / Technical Lead to steer a major insurance transformation. You will code inside a Guidewire implementation, shape design decisions, and act as the technical lead for the delivery stream.

You will mentor developers, plan and monitor delivery, and serve as the technical point of contact for onsite coordinators. Strong Java and Guidewire experience across PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter is required, with hybrid work in Poland.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a corporate IT environment in a similar capacity.
• Strong Java and Guidewire development experience across core Guidewire modules.
• Ability to mentor developers and communicate with business stakeholders.
• Proven design sense and clean code practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and build within a Guidewire implementation.

Senior Guidewire Developer | Technical Lead | Poland | Hybrid

An international insurance transformation programme needs a developer who can lead as well as build.

You'll sit inside the technical delivery of a Guidewire implementation, writing code, shaping design decisions, and steering the rest of the technical stream. This is a lead role in practice, not just in title: you'll mentor developers, plan and monitor delivery, and act as the technical point of contact when onsite coordinators need answers.

What you'll bring:

• Solid Java and Guidewire development experience, ideally across PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter
• Comfort across the JVM ecosystem: Java 8, J2EE, XML, SOAP, REST, SQL, PL/SQL, Spring, Hibernate
• A genuine grip on clean code and design patterns, not just familiarity with the terms
• 4+ years operating in a corporate IT environment in a similar capacity
• The communication skills to hold your own with business stakeholders as well as engineers

Nice to have:

• Angular 5 or Kotlin experience
• German or French

Hybrid: two days in the office, three remote. Some travel to client sites when the project calls for it.
