Job summary

SoftServe is seeking a Senior Go Engineer to embed within a GPU cloud and AI infrastructure platform. You will contribute to production systems from day one, working with client engineers to improve reliability across APIs, control plane, and fleet-management services.

You will diagnose complex issues in a large distributed environment, develop Go-based services for 5,000+ machines, and enhance testing strategies. Collaboration with observability and infra teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production Go experience in distributed environments.
• Strong knowledge of Linux fundamentals (processes, namespaces, cgroups, container runtime).
• Experience with concurrency patterns, context management, and scalable design.
• Networking fundamentals in distributed/multi-region infra.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex production issues across APIs and control plane services.
• Own bug resolution from analysis through implementation with high-quality fixes.
• Collaborate with client engineers, infra specialists, and observability teams to identify root causes.
• Develop and enhance Go-based services across 5,000+ machines to improve maintainability and performance.
• Increase test coverage and establish testing strategies for services interfacing with OS components and external commands.
• Refactor code to improve context propagation, cancellation handling, and concurrency patterns.
• Contribute to Terraform provider modernization to support full platform API and improve developer experience.
• Balance technical debt remediation with business priorities for long-term evolution.
