SpotOn is seeking a senior backend engineer in Poland to own critical systems, work with Go and PHP, and apply AI to write better code and debug complex infrastructure. You’ll ship reliable, scalable features for high-traffic production environments and mentor teammates as needed.

You’ll collaborate in person at Kraków or Gdańsk offices 2–3 times per week, enjoy a hybrid work model, and access a wide range of benefits including a training budget, private healthcare, and modern equipment.

Qualifications

• Real-world experience: 5–7 years building software for high-traffic, production environments.
• Backend mastery: Golang and PHP proficiency.
• AI fluency: ability to integrate AI into workflows and debugging.
• Solid fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and design patterns for scale.
• Strong communication: English (min. B2) and collaboration in Kraków/Gdańsk teams.

Responsabilités

• Take extreme ownership of features and fixes across the stack.
• Untangle complex systems and solve high-stakes puzzles beyond CRUD.
• Be a versatile engineer: step in for frontend or infra as needed.
• Leverage AI tools daily to accelerate development and maintain quality.
• Provide technical leadership and help reduce tech debt.
