Job summary

Scandit is seeking a Senior Accountant, GL on a 6-month fixed-term contract. You will own the general ledger for a defined group of entities, manage month-end close, and ensure accurate reporting while supporting process improvements in a fast-paced, tech-enabled environment. Fully remote within Poland.

The role requires 5+ years of GL experience, VAT proficiency, and strong Excel skills, with NetSuite experience highly preferred. English fluency is essential for cross-border collaboration.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting within an international multi-entity environment.
• Strong VAT understanding on cross-border EU transactions (reverse charge, intra-EU acquisitions).
• Experience preparing statutory financial statements and supporting external audits; multi-currency accounting in ERP (NetSuite).

Responsibilities

• Own the general ledger for assigned entities, including fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, and FX revaluation.
• Prepare month-end and year-end closes with balance sheet reconciliations and clearing of open items.
• Analyze income statement and balance sheet variances for assigned entities.
• Prepare and post intercompany calculations and invoices.
• Prepare and review VAT returns and other statutory reporting; assist with statutory financial statements and audit documentation.
• Review AP postings for correct coding, VAT treatment, and approval routing.
• Investigate and clear unidentified bank postings for the assigned entities.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax and Treasury to ensure accurate accounting.
• Support process improvement and NetSuite roadmap across your areas.
