Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer in Kraków to lead geotechnical design, calculations, and project leadership within a global design center. You will mentor junior engineers, review technical outputs, and collaborate with international teams across planning, site investigations, and construction monitoring.

Requirements include MSc in civil engineering with geotechnical specialization and 10+ years of experience, plus fluency in English and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• MSc in civil engineering with geotechnical specialization.
• Minimum 10 years of hands-on geotechnical design experience.
• Proficiency with geotechnical and finite element software.
• Strong written and spoken English; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking geotechnical calculations and design work.
• Overseeing inputs of junior staff through planning, site investigation, design, construction and post-construction monitoring of geotechnical aspects of projects.
• Undertaking technical reviews and checking.
• Preparing technical specifications, notes and geotechnical reports.
• Cooperating with local and foreign project teams.
• Management of geotechnical projects; tracking programmes and delivery dates.
• Liaising with contractors and clients, external and internal.
• Assisting others with bidding (technical).
• Train, direct, and mentor junior engineers.
• Contribute to the technical community (Communities of Practice).
