Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Bridge Designer to join our Global Design Center in Poland, based in Kraków or Warsaw. You will lead bridge design tasks, mentor staff, and deliver contracts and technical reports for international projects.

The role requires a Master’s degree in engineering, Chartered Engineer status, at least five years in bridge design, strong English, and the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team within a hybrid office setup.

Qualifications

• Master in relevant accredited engineering degree.
• Chartered Engineer of an appropriate professional body.
• Min. 5 years of relevant experience in Bridges design, analysis, assessment, inspection and reports.
• Experience of leading multi-disciplinary projects is a plus.
• Very good command of English.
• Good presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor bridge staff on structural analysis, feasibility studies, tender designs, detailed designs and reports.
• Use Bridge design software such as AutoCAD, MIDAS, SAM.
• Develop networks with global technology leaders for Bridges.
• Ensure quality control plans are followed and health and safety considerations are integrated into design.
• Develop project delivery plans.
• Deliver projects in English.
