Job summary

Jacobs Poland, part of the Global Design Center with offices in Kraków and Warsaw, is expanding the Geotechnical Team and seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead complex design on international infrastructure projects.

You will perform geotechnical calculations, supervise junior staff, coordinate with global project teams, prepare reports and technical notes, and mentor engineers while maintaining project schedules and quality standards.

Qualifications

MSc in civil engineering with geotechnical specialization is required.
Minimum 10 years of work experience in geotechnical engineering design.
Working knowledge of geotechnical and finite element software.
Strong communication skills with fluency in verbal and written English.
Desirable chartered/licensed status in Poland or the UK.

Responsibilities

Undertaking geotechnical calculations and design work
Overseeing inputs of more junior staff to planning, site investigation, design, construction and post-construction monitoring
Undertaking technical reviews and checking
Preparing technical specifications, technical notes and geotechnical reports
Cooperation with local and foreign project teams
Management of geotechnical projects; tracking project programmes and delivery dates
Liaising with contractors and clients, external and internal
Assistance to others with bidding (technical)
Train, direct, and mentor junior engineers
Contribute to the technical community (Communities of Practice)
