This senior IC role influences multiple teams across the enterprise, mentoring engineers and guiding design decisions with clear tradeoffs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with leadership across complex systems.
• Recent experience delivering AI/ML or generative AI solutions in production.
• Advanced Python skills with strong API/architecture practices.
• Hands-on understanding of GenAI patterns: retrieval, agentic workflows, model selection.
• Experience with cloud platforms, containers, CI/CD, and observability.
• Ability to incorporate security, privacy, and risk into designs.
• Proven ability to influence architecture across teams.
• Clear communication to technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Set and evolve technical strategy, reference architectures, and standards for GenAI solutions.
• Architect and build prototypes and production services using Python and cloud platforms.
• Lead evaluation of foundation models and build-vs-buy decisions.
• Establish MLOps/LLMOps practices for deployment, testing, and observability.
• Embed responsible AI, data protection, and security in design and delivery.
• Partner with business and product leaders to define measurable outcomes and prioritize experiments.
• Integrate GenAI capabilities with enterprise data and applications.
• Mentor engineers and lead design reviews across teams.
• Monitor AI advances and drive adoption when value is demonstrated.
