Job summary

Techland is seeking a seasoned Gameplay Programmer to design and implement mechanics for our latest titles in Wroclaw. You will iterate features with animators and game designers, own moment-to-moment gameplay, and prototype new systems across platforms.

You will optimize performance, mentor teammates, and contribute to a multidisciplinary team with strong English communication. Prior Unreal Engine shipped title and CS education are plus.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in game development, with a focus on gameplay mechanics or systems.
• Excellent knowledge of C++ and Unreal Engine.
• Experience with creating networked gameplay.
• Ability to profile and optimize code, with a focus on cross-platform performance.
• Experience working closely with designers and animators in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Strong understanding of game feel and what makes gameplay fun.
• Authentic passion for games and knowledge of latest titles, especially in FPP games.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Very good command of English.
• Familiarity with version control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement gameplay mechanics in our latest games.
• Iterate gameplay features in close collaboration with animators and game designers.
• Own and drive moment-to-moment gameplay mechanics.
• Create and prototype new gameplay systems and related tools.
• Debug and optimize gameplay mechanics for performance, responsiveness, and stability.
• Mentor and support other programmers by sharing best practices and reviewing code.
