Job summary

SimpleStudy is a consumer AI platform for exam preparation—"Duolingo for exam prep"—that operates remotely in Europe with a Lisbon office. We are inviting a driven senior mobile lead to own the mobile app end-to-end, collaborating closely with the founders and engineering leadership to shape the React Native/Expo stack.

You will guide a small team, drive architecture decisions, and own delivery of mobile features from concept to production in a fast, experimentation-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Typescript, CSS and HTML.
• Experience with Node.js, React.js, Next.js, Nest.js, Prisma and Tailwind.
• Experience with Git version control and collaborative development workflows.
• Bonus: Experience in writing E2E tests using Playwright.
• Bonus: Experience with Python.
• Bonus: Experience with Jotai (or Zustand/Redux).
• Experience with leading and managing teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the mobile app end-to-end as the first dedicated senior/staff-level mobile lead.
• Collaborate with Affan and Oisin and the engineering team.
• Lead and manage the mobile development team and deliver the React Native/Expo stack.
