Job summary

Zoolatech is seeking a Senior Engineer to join a client-facing technology team developing scalable RESTful and event-driven services. You will design, implement, and maintain full-stack features, collaborating with cross-functional teams across web UI, APIs, and infrastructure.

The role emphasizes quality, security, and performance in a dynamic retail tech environment. Ideal candidates have 4+ years of experience with Java/Spring Boot, AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD, and possess strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in CS, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of professional experience in RESTful and event-driven development.
• Strong foundation in software engineering practices, data modeling, OOD, patterns, and algorithms.
• Experience with Java / Spring Boot.
• Experience with AWS services and Kubernetes, Redis, DynamoDB, Lambda, CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with Linux and Docker; test automation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, New Relic and Splunk.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; passion for technology and impact.

Responsibilities

• Delivering full stack features (design, implementation, and support).
• Working across the full stack of technologies (Web UI, APIs, Infrastructure).
• Building reusable cross-platform components for future use.
• Translating requirements and wireframes into high quality code.
