Job summary

Anshar Studios Inc. in Katowice is hiring a backend/tools engineer to design, build and maintain internal web tools and services. You will develop backend services, REST APIs, and database solutions, containerize and deploy them, and automate tasks with Python and C# scripts.

You will work with AI tools to speed up development and improve internal tools. The role emphasizes collaboration with cloud engineers during PlayFab to AWS migration, plus maintaining dashboards/alerts for game services.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a full-stack, backend or tools engineer.
• Experience building and shipping small web applications end-to-end—from backend and database to a simple frontend.
• Good knowledge of Python or C# (.NET) for backend development and scripting.
• Experience designing and integrating REST APIs.
• Working knowledge of SQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL).
• Comfort working with Linux and the terminal.
• Practical use of AI tools in daily work and basic understanding of LLMs for tools/automation.
• Experience deploying and running your own apps (Docker, basic CI/CD).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
• English (B2 level or higher) in speaking and writing.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain internal web tools for the team - dashboards, admin panels, server build management and other utilities.
• Develop backend services and REST APIs, including integrations with PlayFab and AWS.
• Design and maintain the databases behind these tools.
• Containerize, deploy and operate the tools you build, including their Linux hosts and CI/CD pipelines.
• Write Python and C# scripts that automate everyday work around game servers and online services.
• Use AI tools to speed up development and build AI‑assistant features into internal tools where they bring real value.
• Build dashboards and alerts that give the team visibility into game services and tools (Grafana and similar).
• Collaborate with the cloud engineer during the PlayFab to AWS migration.
• Provide first-line support for developers, diagnosing tool and service issues and ensuring smooth information flow via Slack, email, etc.
